I tried uninstalling the updates but the system is still in the same state. There is no way to activate without the Installation ID. On the next screen, the Installation ID is missing. I tried to activate Windows, but after entering product key, I select the activate by phone option (these machines have neverīeen nor will they ever be connected to the Internet). After rebooting, Vista is suddenly not genuine. I recently installed the latest updates on several work machines.
